Online Psychotherapeutic Counsellor for Adolescent and Young Adults
Hi, my name is Emanuela and welcome to my website.
I am a professionally Level 7 qualified Child and Adolescent psychotherapeutic counsellor graduated from the Faculty of Education, Cambridge University, awaiting to be fully accredited with UKCP and I am a register member of the Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (UPCA).
My professional background includes over four years of employment with esteemed Cambridge charities such as BlueSmile, Cogwheel, and YMCA, where I have had the privilege of providing therapeutic support to young individuals facing a wide range of emotional challenges. Prior to my work as a counsellor, I gained invaluable experience as a one-to-one teaching assistant for children with disabilities. This role not only increased my capacity to interact with children on an individual level, but it also strengthened my dedication to advocating for the younger generation's mental wellness.
My approach to counselling is grounded in empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges that children and young adults face in today's world. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where young people can explore their emotions, develop resilience, and navigate the complexities of growing up. As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, my training has equipped me with a diverse range of therapeutic theories and approaches. Through a comprehensive assessment, we can collaboratively identify goals that resonate with you and determine the most suitable path for your personal growth and well-being.

Adolescent and Young Adults’ Therapy
(14 to 24 years old)
Navigating the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood can be complex and emotionally intense. For individuals aged 14 to 24, my therapy services provide a supportive and non-judgmental space to explore feelings, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.
Initial Assessment
For those aged 14 to 18, the process begins with an initial contact with a parent(s) or guardian(s).
After this, our first session together will be dedicated to assessing your needs and goals for therapy. This is a collaborative process where we discuss what you hope to achieve and how therapy can support you.
A Safe and Supportive Environment
Above all, I am committed to creating a space where you feel safe to explore your emotions without fear of judgment. Each session is an opportunity to work through your experiences in a way that honours your pace and respects your unique needs.
Open-Ended Counselling
I offer open-ended counselling, meaning therapy can continue for as long as you need. There's no pressure to reach a conclusion quickly; instead, we focus on your individual journey and progress.
Your Therapy Journey
Therapy can sometimes feel like a rollercoaster, with moments of intense emotion and reflection. It’s normal for these conversations to feel overwhelming or tiring at times. Remember, change is a gradual process, and it’s okay to take things one step at a time. Together, we'll work through your thoughts and feelings, allowing you the space to grow and heal.
Ending Therapy
When you feel ready and believe you have benefited from the therapy, we will begin discussing the process of ending our sessions. Typically, this involves a notice period of three sessions, during which we reflect on your journey, celebrate your progress, and prepare for the future.
